Highlights of the Democracy Day 2024

It was not all about displaying banners and posters, but also reminding us of our fundamental duties like protecting of our environment.

The participants of the human chain had not only displayed banners and posters on democracy underlining the concept of liberty and freedom of expression but also remind us of our fundamental duties, such as protecting our environment. During the event, 10 lakh saplings was planted across the state by those participated in the Human chain.

In Bengaluru, the public played an integral role in the event. They had a unique opportunity to come and print their own Preamble copy on the spot before the Vidhan Soudha.

The route map of the Human chain was published with a QR code so that anybody can come and join the Human Chain. The Human chain was formed at 9:30 am to 10:00 am, the Preamble was read before the Human chain disengaged. The saplings was planted from 10:00 am onwards till 10:30 am.

Do I get any acknowledgement for participating in the initiative?

Everybody participated in the Human Chain will be eligible for an appreciation certificate from the Government of Karnataka. The certificate has a provision to embed the photograph of the participant(s), which can be a lifetime memory for the participants. In one photo frame, up to 5 members can be there, thus providing an opportunity for families to stand together, take a picture, upload it, and get it embedded in the certificate, which can be a precious memento.
